Traffic Advisory: Brief Pauses on DRPA Bridges as SS United States Departs on 2/19

Motorists are advised of brief traffic pauses on DRPA bridges as the SS United States departs Philadelphia on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. Bridges will remain open:

• Walt Whitman Bridge: Temporary halt expected around 12:45 p.m.
• Commodore Barry Bridge: Temporary halt expected around 3:00 p.m.

These short pauses will help minimize driver distraction as the ship passes beneath the spans. Timing is subject to change based on weather and river conditions.

Motorists are advised to plan accordingly and check traffic conditions using travel apps like Waze and Google Maps.
