DRPA New Jersey Commissioners Honor “Community Heroes” with Riversharks Tickets
The New Jersey Commissioners of the Delaware River Port Authority today recognized a local organization for its service to the community by presenting them with exclusive tickets to Camden Riversharks baseball games.
At this morning’s Board Meeting, the New Jersey Commissioners presented tickets to the South Jersey Vietnam Veterans Association. The organization will receive 25 tickets to a suite at Campbell’s Field for their choice of one Riversharks home game during the 2008 baseball season.
Each month, DRPA’s New Jersey Commissioners, led by Vice Chairman Jeff Nash, will select firefighters, police officers, non- profit and veterans organizations as “Community Heroes” and present them with Riversharks tickets in appreciation of their contributions to the community and the nation.
DRPA receives tickets for all Riversharks home games as part of a marketing agreement with the minor league baseball team. DRPA advertises cruising from the Philadelphia Cruise Terminal and transportation on PATCO and the RiverLink Ferry via in-stadium signage throughout the season. As part of the agreement, DRPA receives tickets to Suite 307 behind home plate. The suite can accommodate as many as 25 guests.
The Delaware River Port Authority is a regional transportation agency. DRPA owns and operates the Benjamin Franklin, Walt Whitman, Commodore Barry and Betsy Ross bridges, and PATCO, the Philadelphia Cruise Terminal and the RiverLink Ferry.
