PATCO Woodcrest Station Parking Lot Rehabilitation

Project Description

Construction work included excavation, installation of a new sub-base via full-depth reclamation, new asphalt base and surface course, striping, best management practices for storm water management, concrete work for damaged curbs and sidewalks, gate-loop detector installation, conduit installation, and a new sewer line connection. Full depth reclamation (FDR) is a specialized technique involving pulverizing existing pavement to reuse as an aggregate for cement. Utilizing this technique for the majority of the 25 acre lot enabled DRPA to greatly reduce the costs and natural resources needed for the project. Work was completed in 7 phases and full parking was open to the public in July 2019.
