DRPA & PATCO Receive Awards For 'Leading' Construction Projects
The Delaware River Port Authority (DRPA) was honored to receive a pair of “Leading Capital Construction Projects” awards from the New Jersey Alliance for Action.
The 14th annual awards ceremony was held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
The PATCO Woodcrest Station Platform Rehabilitation project, along with the Betsy Ross Bridge Painting and Steel Repairs Thru Truss and PA Approach Spans, were both named “New Jersey's Leading Capital Construction Projects.”
The Woodcrest Station Platform Rehabilitation project involves reinforcement of concrete, steel member rehabilitation, steel and concrete components of the platforms & stairway enclosures.
The Betsy Ross Bridge project entails the bridge receiving a $93 million comprehensive maintenance project designed to enhance its structural integrity and appearance.
The New Jersey Alliance for Action’s "New Jersey’s Leading Capital Construction Projects" awards program was created to highlight innovative, pioneering and landmark construction initiatives that greatly impact the state’s economy and to honor the businesses and organizations that work together as partners to ensure the project’s success.
The award marks the 10th time the DRPA has been honored with an award from the New Jersey Alliance for Action:
- "New Jersey's Leading Capital Construction Project Award" from the New Jersey Alliance for Action for the PATCO Lindenwold Control Center Project (2024)
- "New Jersey's Leading Capital Construction Project Award" from the New Jersey Alliance for Action for the PATCO Franklin Square Station Reopening Project (2023)
- "New Jersey's Leading Capital Construction Project Award" from the New Jersey Alliance for Action for the Walt Whitman Bridge I-76 Corridor Rehabilitation Project (2022)• "New Jersey’s Leading Infrastructure Projects Award" from the New Jersey Alliance For Action for Benjamin Franklin Bridge Rehabilitation of the Suspension Span and Anchorages. - "New Jersey’s Leading Infrastructure Projects Award" from the New Jersey Alliance For Action for the PATCO Elevator Installation Project. (2020)
