Autism Advocate Visits DRPA Police Headquarters, Educates Officers

Delaware River Port Authority police officers were honored to meet and learn from Autism advocate Alex Mann.

The visit marked the 333rd police department visit for the 22-year-old. During his visit at the DRPA Police Headquarters in Camden, Mann was shown the new look of the department's patrol cars which will be placed in service soon.

Mann was also given a tour of the police headquarters and interacted with staff in various departments and units including K9 officers, communications dispatchers and training officers.

In addition, he was gifted a DRPA police hat, shoulder patch and a police challenge coin.

Mann, of Chester County, has visited police departments in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland.

Mann has made it his personal mission to visit various police departments to educate officers on autism and how to better interact with those individuals during their duties. He shares valuable information with police departments on interacting with autistic individuals.
