WALT WHITMAN BRIDGE TRAVEL ALERT -- 3 LANES OPEN TO NJ DURING FRIDAY, 9/30 AFTERNOON PM HOURS

Walt Whitman Bridge motorists are being asked to allow additional travel time during the afternoon/evening rush hours on Friday, September 30. The bridge will have only three eastbound lanes open to New Jersey, instead of the normal four lanes during the weekday afternoon/evening rush hours.

The lane configuration is a result of a repair needed to the barrier mover machine. Until the repair is completed, DRPA will not be able to move the barrier wall from its current configuration to accommodate traffic demand.
