DRPA Committed to Building Equal Procurement Opportunities
Since implementation of non-discrimination programs, the DRPA has paid more than $405M to certified M/W/DBEs and VOBs.
The Delaware River Port Authority (DRPA) and Port Authority Transit Corporation (PATCO) remained steadfast in its commitment to the non-discrimination programs even as the region continued to navigate through the "new norm" with the pandemic entering its second year in 2021.
"Even during a global pandemic, our priority continued to be supporting diverse businesses and providing equal contracting opportunities for all at DRPA and PATCO," said Toni P. Brown, DRPA Chief Administrative Officer.
The Year-End Summary Report produced by the Office of Business Development & Equal Opportunity (OBD&EO) highlights the work done across the Authority to support the OBD&EO mission of "providing equal employment and contracting opportunities for all" by tracking the dollars paid to M/W/D/SBE and VOB businesses in the region.
In 2021, the DRPA paid nearly $28 million to certified M/W/DBEs. Since 1994, the year DRPA implemented its non-discrimination programs, the DRPA has paid more than $405 million to certified M/W/DBEs and VOBs.
