Traffic Pattern Shift To Impact Travel On Ramp from I-95 South To Walt Whitman Bridge

A new traffic pattern will go into effect on Friday, October 23 related to the Walt Whitman Bridge Corridor Rehabilitation at I-76 project.

Beginning at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 22, workers will begin installing a new traffic pattern on the ramp (exit 19) from I-95 South to the Walt Whitman Bridge. The work, which will continue into the overnight hours, will shift traffic to the right shoulder of the ramp as work will begin on the travel lane, as well as the left shoulder.

Intermittent traffic slow-downs are expected as workers move the concrete barrier to the new location. The traffic pattern shift is expected to be completed before the morning rush on Friday, October 23.

Variable message signs across the region will advise motorists about the new traffic pattern and traffic slow-downs.
