Walt Whitman Bridge I-95 Ramp Construction

Drivers who regularly use the Walt Whitman Bridge should be aware of construction and long-term traffic patterns on the ramps connecting Interstate 95 to the bridge. The patterns are part of a multi-year rehabilitation project of the Walt Whitman Bridge I-76 Corridor.

Starting the week of May 18, the ramps will have temporary lane markings, traffic barrels and concrete barriers to separate the construction site from traffic lanes. In addition, the ramps will be reduced in width.

Motorists are reminded to exercise caution and obey speed limits when traveling through work zones.

The project is scheduled to be completed in 2023.
