Bridge Walkway to Close for Blue Angels and Thunderbird Flyover

On Tuesday, April 28, the pedestrian walkway on the Ben Franklin Bridge will close from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. for the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and U.S. Air Force Thunderbird flyover.

The formation flight demonstration over Philadelphia and South Jersey is a salute to frontline COVID-19 responders. Organizers recommend residents view the flyover from the safety of their home-quarantine and refrain from traveling to landmarks and gathering in large groups to view the flyover. The walkway closure is to prevent gathering on the bridge to view the flyover event.

Bridge vehicular traffic and PATCO train service are not expected to be affected by the event.
