Ben Franklin Bridge to Light Up Blue to Salute Healthcare and Essential Workers

In solidarity with a movement across the United States, the Delaware River Port Authority announced that the Ben Franklin Bridge will be aglow in blue beginning Thursday, April 9, 2020 in support of the healthcare workers and everyone who are on the front lines of the COVID-19 crisis.

At 9 p.m. on April 9, buildings, landmarks, and bridges, including the Ben Franklin Bridge, across the country will light up blue in a simultaneous show of support and gratitude to those health care professionals and essential workers caring for us on the front lines and creating a universal symbol of solidary and hope.

The bridge will remain lit up in blue through the month of April, with the exception of April 12 (Easter) and April 22 (Earth Day).
