BEN FRANKLIN BRIDGE WILL LIGHT UP IN MEMORY OF KOBE BRYANT

CAMDEN, N.J. -- The Delaware River Port Authority has announced special purple lighting on the Ben Franklin Bridge for the week of January 27 in honor of NBA legend Kobe Bryant. Bryant passed away Sunday at the age of 41.



Bryant, along with his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven others died tragically in a helicopter crash in California.

Bryant was a star at Lower Merion High School in Montgomery County before entering the NBA and playing his entire career with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Many buildings, bridges and iconic structures from around the world are celebrating Bryant’s legacy in similar tributes.
