3rd Street in Camden to Temporarily Close for Project
3rd Street, between Pearl and Elm Streets in Camden, will be closed from 9pm on 4/26/19 until approximately 8pm on 4/27/19. The closure is related to the Ben Franklin Bridge South Walkway project.
Both pedestrian and vehicular travel will be blocked off.
The purpose of this closure is to complete the removal of the temporary wood shielding structure above PATCO’s track. The Contractor will at times have equipment and personnel in the roadway removing debris and will be transferring it to DRPA’s 3rd Street Yard.
As done previously, we have confirmed with the contractor that while 3rd Street is closed to the public from Pearl to Elm Street, the contractor’s equipment will be positioned such that half of 3rd Street will be unobstructed to allow for emergency vehicle access into and from North Camden.
Please note that the above information is pending weather and other issues.
