Walt Whitman Bridge Travel Alert - 3 Lanes Open to NJ During Monday, 12/17 Evening Rush Hours

Walt Whitman Bridge motorists are being asked to allow additional travel time during the evening rush hours on Monday, December 17. The bridge will have only three eastbound lanes open to New Jersey instead of the normal four during weekday rush hours.

The restricted lane configuration is required to allow NJ DOT to make emergency repairs to the center median from the base of the bridge onto Route 42 South. NJ DOT estimates the repair work to be completed by 8 p.m.
