Pearl Street in Camden to Close Overnights during Weekdays (8/15-9/28)


Starting Wednesday, August 15, Pearl Street, between 3rd and 5th, in Camden will be closed overnights from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. on weekdays through September 28. The weeknight closures are necessary to allow construction work on the Ben Franklin Bridge’s south walkway bicycle and pedestrian ramp. A detour for motorists will be in place. Due to the nature of construction, neighbors will experience a minimum level of noise and bright work lights.

Pearl Street closure dates and times:

  • Wednesday, 8/15 & Thursday, 8/16 – Pearl Street closed between 3rd and 5th and the intersection of 3rd & Pearl closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Friday, 8/17 – Pearl Street closed between 3rd and 5th from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Monday, 8/20 & Tuesday, 8/21 – No street closures required.
  • Wednesday, 8/22 through Friday, 8/24 – Pearl Street closed between 3rd and 5th and the intersection of 3rd & Pearl closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Monday, 8/27 – Pearl Street closed between 3rd and 5th and the intersection of 3rd & Pearl closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Tuesday, 8/28 through Friday, 8/31 – Pearl Street closed between 3rd and 5th from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • 9/4 through 9/7 – Pearl Street closed between 3rd and 5th from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • 9/10 through 9/14 – Pearl Street closed between 3rd and 5th from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • 9/17 through 9/21 – Pearl Street closed between 3rd and 5th from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • 9/24 through 9/28 – Pearl Street closed between 3rd and 5th from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Dates and times are subject to change. In case of inclement weather, the work will be postponed and rescheduled.
