Ben Franklin Bridge to Shine Bright in March for Special Causes
Unique lighting to promote the American Red Cross, raise public health awareness and to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day
The Ben Franklin Bridge will be aglow in a variety of colors this March to shine the spotlight on a wide range of causes, the Delaware River Port Authority (DRPA) announced.
For the majority of the month, the bridge will have red lighting to recognize American Red Cross Month. The Red Cross provides assistance to those in need locally, nationally and internationally.
From March 1 through March 3, the bridge, which connects Philadelphia to Camden, will be blue and green for National Eating Disorders (NED) Awareness.
On March 4, the bridge will have red and white lighting for Leukemia & Lymphoma Awareness.
The bridge will have blue lighting from March 7 through March 9 for Colon Cancer Awareness.
On March 10, the bridge will have orange lighting for World Kidney Day.
From March 11 through March 16, the bridge will have orange lighting for National Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Month.
On March 17, the bridge will have green lighting for the observance of St. Patrick’s Day.
Finally, from March 18 through March 24, the bridge will have blue lighting for Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month.
