More than 650 Bicyclists to Cross Bridge on Tuesday, May 10

Officers representing the Policy Unity Tour will bicycle across the Commodore Barry Bridge Tuesday afternoon to raise awareness about colleagues who have fallen in the line of duty. The riders also will be raising money for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial and Museum.

More than 650 officers on bicycles are expected to arrive on the Commodore Barry Bridge at 3 p.m. Two westbound lanes will be closed for approximately 20 minutes after the bicyclists arrive to accommodate their crossing.

Police Unity Tour bicyclists from across the United States will converge at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial and Museum in Washington, D.C. on Thursday afternoon, May 12. The tour coincides with National Police Week, which runs May 9 through May 16.

More information about the tour is available at the Police Unity Tour website and the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund website.
