Motorists crossing the Ben Franklin Bridge into New Jersey should expect delays because of a repaving project beginning approximately 8 p.m. on Friday (8/8) and lasting until late Sunday (8/10).
During this project, the 6th St. bridge approach ramp in Philadelphia will be closed. Traffic to New Jersey will be detoured to the 5th St. approach ramp via Race St.
Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time or use the Walt Whitman Bridge, the Betsy Ross Bridge or PATCO.
Early in the morning on both Saturday (8/9) and Sunday (8/10) from 1:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m., there will be three lanes to Pennsylvania and one lane to New Jersey because of the ongoing PATCO Rail Rehabilitation project.
