Ben Franklin December Bridge Lighting

Delaware River Port Authority CEO, John J. Matheussen, has announced the Ben Franklin Bridge in December will have special lighting to mark the solemn observance of Pearl Harbor Day, and celebrate the holidays of Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa and New Year’s.

On December 7 the bridge will have red, white and blue lighting to mark Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.

From December 19-25 as well as December 28-30 the bridge will have red and green lighting for the Christmas season.

On December 20 the bridge will be arrayed in blue in observance of Hanukkah.

On December 26 and 27 the bridge will have red, green and yellow lighting for the start of Kwanzaa.

Then on December 31 and January 1 & 2 the bridge will have the colors of the rainbow, red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple for hope in the New Year of 2012.

The Delaware River Port Authority is a regional transportation agency.  DRPA owns and operates the Benjamin Franklin, Walt Whitman, Commodore Barry and Betsy Ross Bridges, and PATCO. The DRPA owns  the RiverLink Ferry.
