Commodore Barry Bridge Celebrates Philadelphia Union In Playoffs

DRPA CEO, John J. Matheussen, has announced the Commodore Barry Bridge and its toll collectors will be helping to cheer on the Philadelphia Union win a Major League Soccer Championship.  According to Matheussen “the Union, in only its second year, has reached the MLS Playoffs and that’s an accomplishment worth noting.”

This weekend, Friday 10/28 thru Sunday 10/30, the toll collectors at the Commodore Barry Bridge will be wearing scarfs and Union T-Shirts while the bridge, itself, will have “Go Union” banners.

Authority COO, Tim Pulte, says “the Union and Commodore Barry Bridge have been great neighbors for the past two years and rooting the team on to victory is a great way to solidify the relationship.”

The Delaware River Port Authority is a regional transportation agency.  DRPA owns and operates the Benjamin Franklin, Walt Whitman, Commodore Barry and Betsy Ross Bridges, and PATCO.  The DRPA also owns the RiverLink Ferry.
