Ben Franklin Bridge to Close Sunday, July 31, From 7:00AM to 8:30 AM
The 24th annual Irish Pub Tour de Shore benefiting police and fire related charities takes place on Sunday, July 31. An estimated 1,200 cyclists will cross the bridge on their way to the Jersey Shore. The 65 mile bike tour begins at the Irish Pub, 20th and Walnut Streets in Philadelphia, and ends at the Irish Pub in Atlantic City. Officials hope to raise more than $200,000 for the Daniel Faulkner Educational Grant Fund, the FOP Survivors Fund and the Police Athletic League of Philadelphia.
The Ben Franklin Bridge will be closed to all vehicular traffic on SUNDAY, JULY 31, FROM 7:00AM UNTIL 8:30AM for the Tour de Shore.
The Delaware River Port Authority is a regional transportation agency. DRPA owns and operates the Benjamin Franklin, Walt Whitman, Commodore Barry and Betsy Ross Bridges, and PATCO, the Philadelphia Cruise Terminal and owns the RiverLink Ferry.
