Ben Frankin Bridge 5th Street Pedestrian Tunnel In Camden Temporarily Closed For Repairs

Maintenance work on the fifth street pedestrian tunnel under the Ben Franklin Bridge in Camden will result in the tunnel being closed beginning Tuesday, July 5, for 4 to 6 weeks.  The maintenance work will include replacement of concrete stairwells, retaining wall, sidewalk, hand railing and installation of a segment of new fence.
Those who normally use the 5th street tunnel should use the 6th street pedestrian tunnel.     

The Delaware River Port Authority is a regional transportation agency.  DRPA owns and operates the Benjamin Franklin, Walt Whitman, Commodore Barry and Betsy Ross Bridges, PATCO and the Philadelphia Cruise Terminal.  The DRPA also owns the RiverLink Ferry.
