Ben Franklin Bridge Closed Sunday May 1 from 8am - 10am For 2011 March For Babies
The New Jersey Chapter of the March of Dimes is sponsoring the 2011 March for Babies Camden Waterfront Walk. The 4 mile walk will take place on Sunday, May 1, along the Camden Waterfront and up the Ben Franklin Bridge to midspan and back to Camden to raise funds for the March of Dimes’ programs of research, community service, education and advocacy to save babies. Over 900 March for Babies walks are taking place across the country.
The Ben Franklin Bridge will be closed to all vehicular traffic on SUNDAY, MAY 1, FROM 8AM UNTIL 10AM for the walk. In addition to the bridge, a number of local roadways will also be closed. That evening the Ben Franklin Bridge will have purple lighting to mark the event.
The Delaware River Port Authority is a regional transportation agency. DRPA owns and operates the Benjamin Franklin, Walt Whitman, Commodore Barry and Betsy Ross Bridges, and PATCO and owns the RiverLink Ferry.
