Ben Franklin Bridge to Close Sunday, July 18, from 7:15am to 8:30am for Tour de Shore Bike Run
The 23rd annual Irish Pub Tour de Shore benefiting police and fire related charities takes place on Sunday, July 18. An estimated 1000 cyclists will cross the bridge on their way to the Jersey Shore. The 65 mile bike tour begins at the Irish Pub, 20th and Walnut Streets in Philadelphia, and ends at the Irish Pub in Atlantic City. Officials hope to raise more than $200,000 for the Daniel Faulkner Educational Grant Fund, the FOP Survivors Fund and the Police Athletic League of Philadelphia.
The Ben Franklin Bridge will be closed to all vehicular traffic on SUNDAY, JULY 18, FROM 7:15AM UNTIL 8:30AM for the Tour de Shore. PATCO trains will not be affected by the run. For updated train schedule, visit www.ridepatco.org.
The Delaware River Port Authority is a regional transportation agency. DRPA owns and operates the Benjamin Franklin, Walt Whitman, Commodore Barry and Betsy Ross Bridges, and PATCO, the Philadelphia Cruise Terminal and owns the RiverLink Ferry.
