DRPA Facilitates Public Open Houses As Part Of The Green Ports Initiative
The Delaware River Port Authority (DRPA), along with the South Jersey Port Corporation (SJPC) and the Philadelphia Regional Port Authority (PRPA), announce the dates for the first round of public outreach for the Green Ports Initiative. Representatives from DRPA, PRPA and SJPC will join the Green Ports Initiative consultant, Weston Solutions, Inc. to share and discuss the Initiative with the public.
Area residents are encouraged to attend the open house events to learn about the project and comment on the initial steps being taken to address some of the impacts of port and transportation operations on the environment and the community. Members of the Green Ports Initiative’s Green Ribbon Panel, an advisory group made up of approximately twenty-five individuals representing various public agencies, private industries, and environmental groups will also be on hand to address questions.
The first round of public outreach will include two public open houses – one in Pennsylvania and one in New Jersey. The open houses will start at 5:30 p.m. At 6 p.m., WESTON will conduct a brief PowerPoint presentation. Display boards with information about the Initiative and potential environmental options will be available. The same information will be presented at both Open Houses.
The dates and locations are as follows:
