Ben Franklin Bridge Travel Advisory For Camden Waterfront Concerts & Events
With the Camden Waterfront concert and event season underway, please be advised the Ben Franklin Bridge will have on-going construction this summer which will require lane closures, including weekends. There are also various roadway projects underway in Camden.
In order to avoid delays in getting to and from events at the Susquehanna Bank Center, Pennsylvania drivers should consider alternatively, the Walt Whitman Bridge, PATCO or boarding the RiverLink Ferry for concerts.
The RiverLink Ferry provides express service up to two hours before a concert begins and ends approximately one-half hour after the concert ends or until all riders have reached their destination. Visit www.riverlinkferry.com for more information.
Free parking is available at most New Jersey PATCO stations and the Susquehanna Bank Center is a short walk from PATCO’s Broadway Station in Camden. Also, PATCO riders may transfer to the NJ Transit River Line at the Broadway Station for an easy ride to the concert. Visit www.ridepatco.org for more information.
The Walt Whitman Bridge has a connector ramp to I-676 North which provides access to the Camden Waterfront via exits 4/Atlantic Avenue and 5A/Mickle-Martin Luther King Blvd. For homebound traffic, I-676 South provides direct access to the Walt Whitman Bridge.
Drivers should keep this in mind if they are going to the June 7th concert at the Susquehanna Bank Center. Other major concerts in June are scheduled for the 11th, 13th, 18th and 20th.
The Delaware River Port Authority is a regional transportation agency. DRPA owns and operates the Benjamin Franklin, Walt Whitman, Commodore Barry and Betsy Ross Bridges, PATCO and the Philadelphia Cruise Terminal. The DRPA also owns the RiverLink Ferry.
