PATCO Announces Special Schedule For Phillies Celebration

PATCO is adding special service as well as customer service representatives to make sure South Jersey residents can easily ride PATCO to the Phillies Celebration in Philadelphia.

Extra train service will be provided all day on Friday.  From 9am to 4pm six car trains will run every six minutes, every five minutes between 4pm and 6pm and then back to every six minutes thru 11pm.  The special schedule is available at www.ridepatco.org

Cashiers will be in most New Jersey stations between 8am and noon selling round trip tickets to Philadelphia.  The cashiers will also have information for those who need guidance on where to go and how to get there.  PATCO riders are being encouraged to travel to the end of the line (15th/16th & Locust) and then either take a short walk to enjoy the celebration in Center City or transfer to SEPTA’s Broad Street Line for service to the Sports Complex in South Philadelphia.

SEPTA's information is available at ww.septa.org/service/phillies_parade.html.

PATCO Transit Ambassadors will also be out in full force pitching in at the stations and train platforms.

The Delaware River Port Authority is a regional transportation agency.  DRPA owns and operates the Benjamin Franklin, Walt Whitman, Commodore Barry and Betsy Ross Bridges, PATCO, the Philadelphia Cruise Terminal and the RiverLink Ferry.
