Ben Franklin Bridge Closed July 13 From 6:30 AM To 7:30 AM For American Cancer Society Bike-A-Thon

The Benjamin Franklin Bridge will be closed to all vehicular traffic from approximately 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 13 for the 36th Annual American Cancer Society Bike-A-Thon. The race begins on 5th Street in Philadelphia and will proceed over the Benjamin Franklin Bridge into South Jersey. Race officials expect more than 4,700 cyclists to participate. The American Cancer Society Bike-A-Thon is open to riders of all skill levels. Officials hope to raise $2 million this year for cancer research.

The Delaware River Port Authority is a regional transportation agency. DRPA owns and operates the Benjamin Franklin, Walt Whitman, Commodore Barry and Betsy Ross Bridges, and PATCO, the Philadelphia Cruise Terminal and the RiverLink Ferry.
