Ben Franklin Bridge Part Of Welcome America Celebration

The Ben Franklin Bridge will have its Patriotic lighting on display during the July Fourth Holiday.

On July 3, 4, 5, & 6, the bridge will be arrayed in Red, White and Blue decorative lighting as part of the spirit of the Welcome America celebration.

DRPA CEO, John J. Matheussen, says “we are pleased to do our part in an event which many believe to be one of the top Independence Day celebrations in the country.”

Matheussen also reminds those in the region to avoid pain at the pump by riding PATCO to the July 4th  concert and Fireworks on the Parkway in Philadelphia as well as the July 5th event along the Delaware River.

The Delaware River Port Authority is a regional transportation agency.  DRPA owns and operates the Benjamin Franklin, Walt Whitman, Commodore Barry and Betsy Ross Bridges, and PATCO, the Philadelphia Cruise Terminal and the RiverLink Ferry.
