DRPA Briefs Public on 2008 Budget Proposal >
The Finance Committee of the Delaware River Port Authority met today for a public budget briefing in advance of the December Board Meeting scheduled for next Wednesday. DRPA's Chief Financial Officer John T. Hanson presented the proposed 2008 operating and capital budgets to board members as well as to members of the public. The public had an opportunity to review the budget and provide comment. “Today's meeting demonstrates of our commitment to keeping the budget process transparent,” said DRPA Vice Chairman Jeffrey L. Nash. “In an effort to make the information as accessible as possible, DRPA took the unique step of webcasting this briefing live to members of the public,” said DRPA Chairman Designee John Estey. The budget is expected to be presented for a vote at DRPA's Board meeting Wednesday, Dec. 12 beginning at 10 a.m. The Delaware River Port Authority is a regional transportation agency.
