Ben Franklin Bridge Goes Red for the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women Campaign
Millions of Americans will be sporting the color red this Friday, February 2 for “Wear Red for Women Day” and the Benjamin Franklin Bridge is no exception. The Benjamin Franklin Bridge will put on its red every evening from February 2 through February 10 in support of the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women Campaign. The Go Red for Women campaign began in February 2004 to raise awareness of heart disease. Since then, the campaign has gained tremendous momentum, helping raise funds to support research and education about women and heart disease. The Delaware River Port Authority is a regional transportation and development agency. DRPA owns and operates the Benjamin Franklin, Walt Whitman, Commodore Barry and Betsy Ross bridges, and PATCO, the Philadelphia Cruise Terminal at Pier 1 and the RiverLink Ferry.[ Return to List ]
