Stuff-A-Cruiser Is Back: DRPA Police Begin Annual Toy Drive
Collection bins at PATCO stations and special cruiser events aim to spread holiday cheer to local children.
The Delaware River Port Authority (DRPA) Police Department has officially kicked off its annual Stuff-A-Cruiser Toy Collection, a long-standing holiday tradition that unites PATCO riders, DRPA employees, and community members in support of local children.
This year’s toy drive once again features weekday morning collection bins inside PATCO stations, making it easy for commuters and visitors to donate new, unwrapped toys as part of their daily routine. All donated items will be distributed to children throughout the region, including students who attend the DRPA police officer’s annual Christmas celebration at Holy Name School in Camden.
In addition to station drop-offs, DRPA Police will host several Stuff-A-Cruiser events where officers work to fill a patrol vehicle, decorated with thousands of Christmas lights, with toys contributed by riders and community supporters. The brightly lit cruiser has become a recognizable symbol of the department’s commitment to service, generosity, and community partnership during the holiday season.
Last year, DRPA Police collected hundreds of toys, all of which were shared with families through local outreach programs and community partnerships. With the continued support of PATCO riders and regional residents, the department hopes to surpass that total this year.
You can help make a child’s holiday brighter in two simple ways:
- PATCO Stations: Drop off new, unwrapped toys at collection bins located inside PATCO’s New Jersey stations—from Lindenwold to Ferry Avenue—during weekday mornings.
- Stuff-A-Cruiser Appearances: Keep an eye out for the festive, light-covered cruiser as it visits events throughout the holiday season. Follow PATCO and DRPA Police on social media for appearance announcements and bring a toy to donate when you see the cruiser in your community.
The DRPA Police Department provides 24/7 policing for DRPA bridges, facilities, and the PATCO High-Speed Line. The department remains committed to public safety, community engagement, and strengthening partnerships across the region.
This holiday season, help DRPA police officers spread cheer, one toy at a time.
